Sellers description:
1970 Jaguar XKE 2 passenger Coupe and not the less desirable 2+2. This is an all original, 1 owner car that has never been wrecked. Unfortunately the owner joined the military and never came back. His parents covered the car with a tarp and put it behind the garage in 1983 which was probably not the best idea but I understand their pain and it was "out of sight, out of mind". The car has 46,941 miles on it when it was put away. Caution! It is rusty and will need new floors and sills all is not lost since these parts are all readily available. The bonnet is not attached and is resting on top therefore it is not perfectly aligned making it look odd. There are even companies that will install these parts and give you back a complete rebuilt body for reasonable money. The saving grace of this car is that it has a 4 speed manual transmission, wire wheels, air conditioning and is complete with all the chrome moldings that are impossible to find as the new replacements simply do not fit, even the red emissions stickers are even still on the carburetors! Since trying to start a car that has been sitting so long could do extensive damage we have not even tried and one must assume it will need a total rebuild.
