Ebay item 4/7/06
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-XKE-1969-Jaguar-E-Type-Series-II-OTS-XKE_W ...
Current bid $30,100 reserve not met, 16 bids, 6 days left in auction. 32k miles.

Sellers description:
This is a restored (finished 2005) E-type that I bought a few years ago for my personal use and enjoyment. Since I purchased the car it has been driven only a handful of times (to be serviced and shows-it won awards both times), then went back into indoor climate-controlled covered storage. It drives and runs supberbly and was fully inspected and checked out by European Auto Specialists (best jag mechanics in Cincinnati). I must sell it to finance 4 kids entering college. I regret having to part with this car as I viewed it as a keeper. It is truly exceptional. It has no rust, mileage is believed to be original, and is complete with all manuals, etc. I have all of the original parts (including original tires) that will go with it (Stromberg carbs, wheel nuts, etc.) I installed eared knockoffs, polished trip carbs, etc. to make it more beautiful and powerful. It is lightning fast. Even the clock works. I am a jaguar concours judge and the car recently scored over 99 points in driven class. It is beautiful from top to bottom and will not disappoint. It draws raves wherever it goes.

This car is located in the Cincinnati, Ohio area.

Car returns to ebay 12/8/08
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $26,600 reserve not met, 6 bids 4 days left in auction. Car still in Purchase, New York. 33k miles.

Sellers description:
This is a restored (finished 2005) XKE that was taken apart and rebuilt to Jaguar standards. There is very little that was not done. No surface or part was neglected. The car had 31,000 original miles on it (as told by the former owner) before the restoration started of which I have been told it took 4 years to complete and has only been driven a couple thousand since then by me for my personal enjoyment. It has won awards by the previous owner. I have had it about 2.5yrs and financial reasons are making me part with it unfortunately since i intended it to be a keeper. The investment in the car is way more than the reserve. The car drives incredibly and and has been annually checked by Vantage Motors of CT. who are one of the top east coast XKE specialists. I have been told by them that it is in great shape. You can see this from the pictures. The carbs have been replaced with triple SU's to give it the extra power it deserves and early knock-offs have been installed. It also has electronic ignition and starts immediately. Cool Cat fans have been installed and overheating is not even an issue in this Cat even at 90 degrees. I have the original Strombergs as well as other parts including the wheel nuts. I have also put a very nice stereo in since I enjoy listening to music as I drive. This car is fast. The car has no rust and comes with the manuals, The previous owner is a jaguar concours judge and the car scored 99 pts. in driver class just before I bought it. I have set the reserve at a very fair price in todays climate and is priced to sell. Why not buy one of the most beautiful cars ever built that is fun to drive and will hold its value. This Cat is in exceptional shape and is reliable at all times and I have had this at over 100 mph without a shimy or shake. This car has no rattles or pings. I am confident the buyer will be more than pleased.

Current bid $6,766 reserve not met, 3 bids 6 days left in auction. Buy it now price $65,500. Car now said to be in Santa Monica, California.

Sellers description:
The car is reported to have only some 34K original miles and was purchased by the most recent owner in 1/2009 with an original 33,200 miles which was recorded as actual on the NJ title. The car is an older restoration in 'Signal Red' color with a beautiful black leather interior.

The floor boards and all the typical rust-prone areas are completely solid and rust-free! The car has no signs of any accidents of any kind and has a very straight body with no rust. It's 'Signal Red' color paint is in exceptionally fine condition and the car looks extremely impressive with a lovely black leather interior which is in complete and mostly original condition apart from an after market CD player and with the front seats, door panels, headliner, dashboard and carpets all in very fine condition throughout with no real flaws. The car has four chrome knock off wire wheels and also a chrome wire spare wheel located in the trunk.

The car drives as nice as they come with no known mechanical issues whatsoever. This particular car must be seen and driven to be fully appreciated - a seriously striking example which turns heads wherever she goes showing pride of ownership throughout the years! The engine is extremely strong and responsive with excellent oil pressure and no noticeable oil leaks and which sounds absolutely magnificent, the 4 speed manual transmission shifts smoothly through the gears and the engine temperature always remains cool.

This is an extremely rare opportunity to own a great daily driving and restored and rust free example of a 1969 Jaguar XKE Series II 4.2L roadster with its original matching #'s engine in exceptionally fine condition throughout being offered as a great daily driver or collectible classic car for any British classic car enthusiast or European classic car lover!
