Car to be at auction 10/17
www.coys.co.uk/cars/1969-jaguar-e-type-series-ii-fixedhead-coupe

Auction description:
ESTIMATE £30,000- £40,000
Auction The Spirit of Motoring, London October 2017
Lot Number 349
Reg. Number UK Registered
Chassis Number 1RZ26039
Year 1969
Make Jaguar
Model E-Type Series II

Part of a collection for two decades before coming to the U.K this pretty series two fixed head on offer was produced in 1969 and was delivered new to the United States in its current left-hand drive configuration. Although it started life dressed in sable brown the car still retains a lot of originality, the fabulous original interior displays a wonderful patina. As well as retaining its correct manual gearbox the engine and chassis numbers are also correct.

More recently the exterior colour was changed to a striking Ferrari Giallo Modena yellow that the car wears today. The body and paintwork are both in good order as are the chrome bumpers which show little sign of wear. Mechanically in good working order this lovely example has recently been granted a new MoT test certificate and sits on a set of Dunlop SP Sport tyres ready for use.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
