This is a 1969 Jaguar XKE coupe...( Not 2 + 2 ). Series 2 coupe.Green/black/chrome wire wheels. Matching numbers

This is not a show car and not a pile of junk. It is something inbetween. A driver.

Had been off the road for some time. Now runs and drives. With some TLC it could be an every day driver. Or is a great candidate for a restoration. It is a 3 owner California car. It has the Black license plates.

Body: Quite straight. No signs of any major acidents. Small lennon sized dent on edge of mouth. Bonnet looks good on the underside. Doors and rear hatch fit well. One very small spot of rust in drivers side foot well. Otherwise very rust free. Spare wheel well is solid and clean.

Interior: Needs everything. Original black leather seat bottoms have been covered in blue cloth. Seat backs are still original as are the door panels. All are age worn. Carpets are poor.Original steering wheel and gagues in decent condition.

Paint: Originaly a BRG car. Has been resprayed in a non original green. Looks OK from 20 feet, but is not a good paint job.

The front bumper is off the car but I have it. It is bent and will need to be straightened. The other chrome on the car is decent.

Mechanical: Starts right up and purrs. Engine sounds good. No smoke, leaks or rattles. Recent cam adjustment, and tune after having sat for a few years.Clutch and gearbox feel OK...Brakes work but should probably be serviced.

This is a real solid car with none of the serious problems these cars can have with rust or damaged bodies.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
