Ebay item 6/26/08
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-Coupe-1969-Jaguar-XKE-An-Awesome-Restorati ...
Current bid $8,094 reserve not met, 6 bids, 4 days left in auction. Buy it now price $13,500.
Sellers description:
1969 Jaguar XKE Coupe. The body is extremely solid except for the front floor pans which are beginning to show signs of aging and should be replaced. It is evident the car has been painted a couple of times. It looks like the car was originally green, painted yellow, and painted the existing red color. The drive train appears to be original and intact. I have no mechanical history on this car. I have been told that the last time it ran was about 2 years ago; this means the car is not currently operational. The brakes work fine. The radiator and the gas tank have been cleaned out and are ready to be re-installed.
I cannot find any evidence of previous accidents or bondo. The frame and suspension are very solid. The transmission shifts fine also. The interior also appears original but of course, it needs to be replaced. It still has the original wire wheels, which by the way are in excellent condition. The chrome and glass are in good condition with the exception of the driver’s side window which is cracked. This car is a prime candidate for restoration. These cars are very difficult to find in this condition! This IS NOT a parts car.
I have a clear New Mexico title in hand and it appears the car has spent the majority of its life in the southwest of the U.S.
