    Car at auction 9/21

    www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/events/2021-auctions/the-practical-classics-classic ...

    Auction description:

    Year of manufacture: 1970

    Make: Jaguar

    Chassis number: 1R21035

    # of cylinders: 6

    Transmission: Manual

    Engine capacity: 4.2

    Body colour: Primrose Yellow

    LHD/RHD: Right-hand Drive

    Registration number: PNE 555J

    Model: E-Type Series 2 4.2 FHC

    Engine number: 7R1419409

    Interior colour: Black

Odometer Reading: 21093 miles Not warranted

An original, right-hand drive, manual gearbox car supplied new by Henlys of Manchester

Factory finished in Pale Primrose and first registered (PNE 555J) on 25/09/1970

    Just completed a comprehensive, photo-documented ground-up restoration

This work included the engine, gearbox, suspension, trim and electrics with no expense spared

The standard of restoration and detailing is evident from the photographs

Accompanied by its Jaguar Heritage Certificate (technically not matching numbers as the engine block was changed at some point)

A lovely example in a period hue with a smart black interior, chrome wire wheels and an immaculate engine bay

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
