Currently for sale at $169,999 at Collectible Classics at Strathalbyn. Appears to be in really good condition which would justify the price, but have not heard it running, or driven.

Advertised for sale on carsales.com.au 14 October 2024, asking AU$189,000. The car is in Melbourne. Seller’s description (edited) follows:

Original right hand drive and matching numbers Jaguar E-type 4.2L Coupe.

The following work has been done recently:

Engine: New main and con-rod bearings. New pistons and rings. Bores honed to suit. Cylinder head faced and valve clearances set. 

Gearbox: New synchro’ rings, new 1st/2nd gear synchro’ hub, all new bearings and needle rollers.

Differential: New pinion and carrier bearings. Side gears shimmed to correct tolerances gears.

Clutch kit (approx. 1000 miles). 

Front brakes up-graded with vented rotors and 4 piston callipers.

Carburettors: New main jets fitted.

New electronic ignition system fitted (Ignitor brand).

Near new wire wheels with new Dunlop tyres.
