Hi Jason, I am just coming to the end of my S2 coupe e type restoration. Mine is also cream but with a black interior, it would seem we have a rare colour for a UK, was yours made cream? My chassis number is 1R 2093, 75 later than yours, I also have a black Webasto sunroof. I live in Farnham and I am a committee member of the Surrey/Hants Border Region of the JEC, I might see around one day.

Regards

John

Hi John,

Sorry for coming back so late - I barely ever check on here to be honest. Yes my car was advertised as Old English White by the previous owner, but it has a creamier look to it than other OEW cars I've seen.
My suspicions were confirmed when I got the Heritage certificate back, which confirmed the colour scheme of cream with red interior trim.

Min was off the road for the last 8 months or so as I've had other commitments but planning to get some jobs done through Spring and get her back out again this summer - hopefully may catch u and exchange notes!

Garaged and used regularly when dry, this superb 1970 car has virtually all original features including 1970 first registration tax disc, Professionally refurbished original steering wheel, seats with original leather and patina, carpets and interior. New petrol tank; steering overhauled, welding to center section for seat belt anchor points, new MWS wheels with factory fitted tyres having done about 750 miles, new spinners. Handbook. Starts easily and runs smoothly. Electronic ignition with original distributor available.

Hidden electric isolation switch for security.

Many extras including imperial spanner set (see picture) magazines, old invoices and jumble, spinner spanner and copper hammer, spare rocker covers, additional 2" exhaust complete (too noisy for me so has been replaced with new SS 1. 5” exhaust complete). It now purrs along as it should sound.

One rear internal trim has detached.

External chrome in good condition for the year.

Once you have seen this car you will want to own it - for posterity and/ or as an investment.

RAC inspection welcomed. You feel a million dollars when driving this head turning car. Its nearly all original parts are a testament to the care and respect it has attracted over the years. The model is one of not so many manufactured for 1970.

The black Webasto roof enables the open air experience while being safely cocooned inside. I particularly like the steering wheel and original seats and dash as they add that quality of authenticity and age while retaining full comfort and functionality.

Because it is not at concourse standard I have no qualms about using this on a regular basis for work or longer commutes - provided no rain is forecast!

Many extras included - imperial spanner set as shown, books, 2" SS exhaust complete, spare rocker covers, spare spinners, etc.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
