Sellers description:
A beautiful looking and running 1970 series 2 Jaguar XKE. Recently recommissioned after some years in storage. A car you can drive and enjoy. Full service , fluids ,oil and filters, new brake hoses, Master cylinder, Booster, Clutch Master cylinder and slave, New water pump, tires little used, new exhaust system, new seat covers. Repainted Regency Red (originally light blue) in the late seventies. The paint is still beautiful. The engine is running perfectly with good oil pressure when hot (45psi when running and 20+ psi when idling). The gearbox changes smoothly and the clutch is also smooth and positive. The brakes pull up straight and strong and the hand brake works! On a 90 degree day the engine temperature remains at normal. (series 2 E Type has twin cooling fans). The interior and dashboard is very nice and so is the convertible top. All the gauges work properly and so does the heater blower motor and windshield wiper.
The body work is as it should be with all panels are perfectly contoured and in line with each other and the gaps perfect. The front floor foot wells have been replaced probably due to careless lifting by floor jacks by mechanics which caves in the panels. Otherwise all the panels appear original and rust free.
This is a lovely car and a joy to drive. It is a credit to its present owner and it will be enjoyed by the next one.
