Opening bid $22,000, no reserve, no bids yet, 9 days left in auction. VIN on this car is 701R13148
Sellers description:
Jaguar E-TYPE roadster (cabriolet)
Year: 1970
Engine: 4200 ccm
It is a classical car brought from the USA and ready for registration. Expert opinion and conservator certificate is available upon request. It can be registered as a regular or historical vehicle.
This car is in a very good shape - no rust or any other damage. It has all the original accessories. Its leather interior is not damaged at all – regular wear only. For its 36 years this car is in the ideal shape.
It will not be a very big effort to bring it to the looks of the car that just left the factory – the dream of every historical vehicle connoisseur.
The engine in this vehicle is a Ford one, installed into the original car by manufacturer in 1970. Nominal plate and papers from year 1970 list it as the proper car engine. Included in the price is an additional new 12 cylinder Jaguar engine that can be installed by the buyer.

Factory-installed Ford, eh? Improbable, more likely impossible. Somebody got fooled somewhere along the line.
