Car to be at auction 10/8/11
www.coys.co.uk/auction.php

Auction description:
Lot 147 - 1969 Jaguar E-Type Series 2 Roadster
Estimate: £40,000 - £45,000
Registration Number: DAB 54H
Chassis Number: 1R1255

Chassis 1R1255 was restored in the early 90's to a concours winning standard and has covered some 8,000 miles since. Finished in red paintwork over black hide this E-type comes complete with a history file, UK V5 and an MoT until October 2012.

This is an excellent opportunity to purchase a restored, road-ready example of one of Jaguar's greatest ever sportscars.

Car to return to auction 7/12
www.coys.co.uk/auction.php

Auction description:
Lot 144 - 1969 Jaguar E-Type Series II 4.2 Litre Roadster
Estimate: £28,000 - £35,000
Registration Number: DAB 54H
Chassis Number: 1R 1255
The first thing you notice about this 1969, 4.2 litre example is that it's an original UK car offered in good condition throughout. This car underwent a full restoration in the late 1980s to concours condition and is still in fine fettle. Supplied with a V5 document, MoT certificate valid until October as well as service invoices, this example is striking in red with a black hide interior piped in red.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
