Sellers description:
1970 Jaguar XKE Convertible
Absolutely Beautiful Restoration!!
Restored to Factory Specifications and Ready to Enjoy!!
After owning this car for the past 30 years, the owner decided it was time to let it go as she didn't have time to give it the attention it deserves. So today we are offering it for sale in hopes that the next lucky owner will get as much enjoyment out of it as she did. This car has an extensive service history with all the records present to go along with it. Originally, the car was owned by the boss of the previous owner's husband. Her husband in 1979 purchased it from his boss as a wedding gift and thus the restoration began. The color of the car is the original color and did receive new paint in 1981. Originally, the interior was green but also in 1981 was changed to the present tan you see now. In the late '80s and early '90s, the car received a complete "to Jaguar specifications" restoration. The only thing different on the car from the original is the color interior and the luggage rack is not the original one. The original rack does come with the car, the previous owner just opted to go with a new aftermarket one because it was cheaper than having the original re-chromed.
The owner did not have anyone to service the car since in 2008 the gentleman she was using retired. Being that we are a full service facility for antique, vintage and collectible cars, thats how the relationship developed and thus we have been servicing the car since. Currently, there is no headunit in the car but all the wiring is already set up to receive one. Other than that, this Jag is ready to go. There is a current PA inspection good until July of 2010 and the car needs nothing but a new home.
