This 1969 Jaguar XKE roadster was built on November 13, 1969, and is said to have been refurbished in the mid-1980s before it was acquired by the seller in 2007. The car is finished in yellow over black leather upholstery, and power comes from a numbers-matching 4.2L inline-six paired with a four-speed manual gearbox. Features include a black soft top, electronic ignition, and an AM/FM radio. This XKE is now offered in Wisconsin with an owner’s handbook, tools, a Jaguar Production Record Trace Certificate, spare parts, car covers, and a clean Illinois title in the seller’s name listing the car as a 1970 model.

Delivered from the factory in Pale Primrose Yellow, the car is said to have received paintwork during the 1980s refurbishment. Features include taillights located below the rear bumper, wraparound chrome bumpers and bumperettes, a driver-door-mounted mirror, and uncovered headlight buckets. Scratches are noted on the driver’s door, and the antenna does not raise. The rear bumper seal needs replacement, and corrosion is noted on the bottom bonnet seams and front footwells.

The 15″ chrome wire wheels are secured by three-lobed knock-offs and are mounted with Vredestein Sprint Classic tires that were reportedly installed in the 2000s. A matching spare wheel is mounted beneath the trunk floor. The Robbins soft top can be seen in the gallery and features a yellowing rear window. The soft top window seals will need replacement, and the right-front wheel is missing a spoke.

The cockpit features bucket seats with headrests trimmed in black leather as well as matching door panels and carpets. Equipment includes lap belts, an AM/FM radio, a wood shift knob, and a locking glovebox. The carpets show wear.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer. Gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level are located in the center of the dashboard. The Brake Fluid/Handbrake light stays on according to the seller. The five-digit odometer shows 85k miles, 500 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The 3AW warning light control unit has been removed.

The 4.2-liter DOHC inline-six breathes through twin Stromberg carburetors and was factory rated at 246 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque. The engine is said to have been rebuilt in 1985, a replacement radiator core was reportedly installed in 2005, and an electronic ignition system is fitted.

Engine stamping 7R8960–9 matches the chassis tag as well as the Jaguar Production Record Trace Certificate.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual gearbox. The right exhaust silencer is developing a hole.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate lists a manufacture date of November 13, 1969, as well as the original colors and component numbers.
