Car has a buy it now price of $62,500 for 20 days, seller kurttannermotorcars, 69k miles.
Sellers description:
Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this desirable S2 Roadster in an attractive color scheme. This car was recently purchased from it's long term New York owner who enjoyed and maintained the car regularly. As a result, it feels very sorted mechanically and is an absolute joy to drive with it's fantastic road manners.
The body on this car presents very well with nice panel fit, good bonnet gapping, and doors that open and close very nicely. The paintwork presents beautifully with good gloss, definitely a very good job. Upon close inspection, it is showing a few minor blemishes, notably some heat lifting around the LH (exhaust side) bonnet louver, a few touched-up chips, a small scratch on the passenger door. Nevertheless, from 5-10 feet it's extremely attractive. Chromework appears to be mostly original and is good to excellent.
The car's interior trim was refurbished in Parchment leather with comfortable, soft seats with a matching panel kit, black carpets, an excellent black cloth top and matching top boot. The dashboard is original and in great overall condition with all gauges functioning correctly. The alloy/wood steering wheel is excellent.
The car's mechanicals are a dream. The engine starts easily on the key with no smoke or worrisome noises. It revs fantastically when warmed up with great running oil pressure at 45-50 psi. The car runs, drives, shifts, brakes, steers crisply. The ride is superb. The correct chrome wheels are in great condition fitted with a new, quality Goodyear tire set. It can be pushed hard through it's paces with confidence...one of the best driving E-types we've had in a while.
The car's undercarriage is extremely solid, clean, and presentable overall, with some unalarming small bubbling on the RH front rocker.
Overall, a very attractive and superb driving open E-type that can be enjoyed instantly. This car should be enjoyed to the fullest in it's current approachable condition, with it's continued regular maintenance.

This left-hand drive Series II roadster was imported from the USA in 2018 by the vendor. The accompanying Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate shows that the car was completed in November 1969 and shipped to British Leyland, New York, USA, while the original colour scheme was silver grey with black interior and matching soft-top. As is so often the case with imported cars, little is known of its early history. 69,563 miles at time of importation, the odometer reading had risen to 69,848 miles by the time the car was MoT'd in July 2019.
There are bills on file from L&L Auto Services Ltd and Lewmark Auto Company totalling c. £5,000 in 2018 for works including carburettor and distributor tuning/timing, new front disks, attention to the bodywork, supplying and fitting new rear bumper trim, new wiring under the steering, adjusting the rear wheel clearance, a new exhaust strap, and new sun visors. Further recent works with Middlesex Re-boring Co Ltd include stripping, degreasing, and part assembling the cylinder head, re-facing the valve seats, and supplying and fitting new inlet valve guides. We are advised that the repaint in dark red was carried out early in 2019, with the interior also having been re-trimmed in cream leather in recent years. The hood is also said to be in very good condition and fits well.
This beautiful Series II E-Type comes with MoT to July 2020, a V5C registration document, and the aforementioned Heritage Certificate dated June 2018 and sundry bills.
