While James Bond mostly drove with an Aston Martin, Jerry Cotton drove a red Jaguar E. The Jaguar E was the direct successor to the D-Type racing car that won 3 times at Le Mans. It was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 1961. Its rounded shape with the pronounced long bonnet were spectacular. The very modern engine (two overhead camshafts) had already been tested and further developed in the XK 120/140 and 150. The E Type already had internal disc brakes at the rear and now independent front and rear suspension. The first series of the Jaguar E initially had a displacement of 3.8 liters and the very difficult to switch "Moss transmission" (1st gear unsynchronized). Our copy from the 2nd series already has the 4, 2 liter engine and the "Jaguar transmission" that can be shifted without any problems. The car is in good mechanical condition, but has a certain charming patina in some places. It is approved and has an H mark. Chassis no .: 1R11013
