This is a very nice driver, well above most XKEs in use. I would not have any fear of getting in this Jag and driving thousands of miles on a trip, just as it is. A good value.

Sellers description:
1969 Jaguar XKE Series II Roadster. The car spent its life in Palm Springs and then San Diego until I purchased it on eBay in 2003. In the past 5 years I have put approximately 1,000 miles on the car cruising or going to some local car shows.

The car was painted and mechanically overhauled in the mid 90”s according to the previous owner and is a solid rust free fun car to drive. I recently disassembled and painted the car to its new stunning red color. New weather-stripping was installed at that time. It has an attractive convertible top with a small 1” tear. The seat covers are solid with good color. The interior leather trim is in fair shape but the carpets are worn and should be replaced. To make it a show car you could spend another $2,000 - $3,000 or just drive it and watch it appreciate as I have. I recently changed the spark plug wires, cap, rotor, oil and filter.

Flaws with the car are as follows: The oil pressure gauge does not work but I have a new gauge that goes with the car. The headlight switch shorted out and melted the wires and will need replacing and wiring repair. One wiper arm is broken and one is missing. The car could use another buffing after the paint cures for 30 days. The bumpers are getting dull and could be re-chromed. The lighting and wiper issue were never a concern to me since the car is only driven on nice sunny days.

I have original jack / tools as shown in photo. I also have original articles about the car published in the late 60’s and the original owner’s manual.

I personally feel the car is well worth $35,000 or more but have made the ‘Reserve’ a great deal for someone wanting to own a piece of history. This is a very nice ‘Driver’ condition car and not a ‘Concourse Show Queen’. It will need some TLC and electrical repairs as with most British cars.
