This 1969 Jaguar XKE Series II roadster was originally delivered to Continental Cars Distributors of St. Louis, Missouri, and is said to have remained with the original owner’s family since new. Power is provided by a 4.2-liter inline-six linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car is finished in green over black leather and equipped with a black soft top, a body-color removable hardtop, a louvered clamshell hood, four-wheel disc brakes, 15″ wire wheels, a heater, and a Philips tri-band radio. This XKE roadster is now offered on dealer consignment with a window sticker, a black top boot, service records, a manufacturer’s statement of origin, and a clean Nevada title in the name of the late owner’s family trust.
The car is finished in British Racing Green, and exterior equipment includes a body-color removable hardtop, a black soft top, a driver-side mirror, bright trim, a louvered clamshell hood, wraparound chrome bumpers, and dual exhaust outlets. The seller notes a chip in the windshield.
The 15″ wire wheels are secured by three-eared knock-off hubs and are mounted with 205/75 Maxxis MA-1 tires. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black leather along with a color-coordinated center console, door panels, and carpets. Interior appointments include a locking glovebox, a heater, and a Philips AM/FM/SW radio.
The steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline as well as an analog clock and gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 25k miles.
The 4.2-liter inline-six was factory equipped with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and rated at 246 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque when new. The engine coolant was serviced and the fuel filter was replaced in July 2020. The fuel pump is said to have been replaced 100 miles ago.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
A body-color hardtop is included in the sale, and the lower-rear weatherstripping is separating from the top.
