    6/6/08 car offered at:
    www.chequeredflag.com

    Sellers description:
1970 Jaguar E Type Series II Roadster in Primrose Yellow with Black interior. Good solid California car that drives very nicely - decent older paint, worn seats and torn top. Factory Air Conditioning which is unusual. 4.2 liter with a series 1 triple SU carbeurettor conversion ( series II's suffered from deminished horsepower due to twin Stromberbs legislated by EPA ) Strong and healthy engine, good trans, clutch, steering and brakes. A great driver that could easily be taken to the next level. Inspections encouraged. All sales As-IS. Sales tax and lic fees due if delivered in California.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
