Ebay item 5/4/16 www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-2-2-Coupe-/301947565620
Current bid US $2,025 reserve not met 8 bids 6 days left in auction. Seller holdenwallace, 99k miles reported.
Sellers description:
For sale is a 1968 XKE Series 1.5 2 plus 2. This car is in need of a complete restoration. Title: I put "salvage title" in the box for title because I did not see another option. This car came from Alabama where they do not give titles for cars over 25 years old. I have a bill of sale from the previous owner and I will give a bill of sale also. The previous owner had this car for several years. It appears that he started a restoration, by partially dismantling and panting the main body. The bonnet was never repainted by him. Instead it was stored against a tree with the nose in the mud. The front of the nose is in very rusty shape due to the storage. The main body also has some serious rust in the floors and looks to be bubbling near the sills and rear fenders. The floor of the gas tank area looks fairly solid. The cars looks to be complete but I would not swear that it was not missing some minor parts. This cars looks to be originally air conditioned. I believe the car was also primose yellow before it was painted red but not positive. It also has an automatic transmission. The car has it original matching numbered motor. The head has no stamped number in it, which would be correct as they did not stamp the later E types I am told.
