Car is in pieces - very many pieces - and awaiting restoration as my first E Type. A glorious jig saw puzzle indeed.... I will probably build it with all the original parts, thereby keeping it left hand drive despite UK usage.

Met with the first owner, Mr Allan J Suvada in Chicago IL on 8th July 2006. Very nice man and gave me some history of the car's early days.

What were the comments of the orginal owner? I would love to hear who owned mine because I would love to thank him for taking such great care of the car I own. I would love to hear about the work in progress when you get a free minute.
Email me. Thanks and great luck to you from Canada...Johnnie

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
