An original UK RHD car with numbers matching engine and gearbox (verified by the Jaguar Heritage Certificate) that has undergone a full strip down body and mechanical restoration of over 3000 hours.

A complete overhaul and rebuild of the engine, gearbox and differential was undertaken by VSL, Klassic Transmissions and Alan Slawson respectively. Upgrades by Fosseway included dual pot front brake callipers, ventilated front discs, alternator, high torque starter, radiator cooling fan and silicon hoses. SU carbs stripped, vapour blasted and rebuilt with OEM new parts as required including spindles, jets, butterflies and floats. Rear brake callipers and brake master cylinder were refurbished with stainless steel pistons and liner and Greenstuff brake pads installed. All new brake lines, flexible hoses and fuel lines. All wheel and suspension bearings and drive, propshaft and steering UJ's were replaced.

Other new parts included:

123 Electronic ignition, full wiring loom, steering rack, brake servo, clutch master and slave cylinder, front and rear dampers, front stub axles, rear radius arms, steering wheel rim, upper steering column, speedometer, capilliary oil gauge, front window screen. Headlamp relay upgrade. New MSW wire wheels and V rated Vredestein tyres. Substantial re-chroming and plating. Waxoyl treatment to all inners sections of the bodywork.

All new interior refit and trim. Towards the end of the restoration the car was sent to E-Type specialist Angus Moss Jaguar for a thorough inspection and completion of outstanding tasks. Moss put in over 100hrs with a full 'spanner up'.

A detailed photographic record of the restoration is availableThis is a truly sorted car and beautiful driving experience.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
