The car had been stored in an Arazona garage for over 18 years. It has been stripped down to bare metal and repainted Silver Blue (was Cream).the engine transmission and IRS have been rebuilt. Every piece of the car has been plated, powder coated or painted. A new Dark Blue interior will be installed soon (was Black)

Recent Major Service Completed
Completed on August 18, 1966 and dispatched shortly after on September 1st through Jaguar Cars of New York, 1E33356 was purchased new by Howard Lambert of Fullerton, California from nearby Thrall Motors. Acquired from meticulous and long-term ownership this desirable Series I Coupe comes beautifully presented and ready to enjoy wearing a striking combination of Opalescent Silver Blue over Blue leather upholstery, complemented by chrome wire wheels with eared knockoffs.
This stunning example represents one of the most desired E-Type models. With limited ownership, the car benefits from a complete comprehensive restoration by Jaguar specialists during the early-mid 2000's and continues to present beautifully today. Prior to its restoration, the car was stored in an Arizona garage for almost 20 years, before taken back to California - which attests to it solid body and original parts. Mark Wilson's Restorations in Visalia, California performed much of the work, which is recorded in the incredible amount of accompanying records and documentation from the last 14 years.
Today, the car remains a very worthy driver or local show candidate. The choice paintwork shows well as does the cabin's leather appointments. A burlwood dash was added for elegance as well as the RetroSound Motorola period style radio. Polished trim, brightwork and complimenting chrome wire wheels complete the presentation. Nicely detailed, the Coupe would credit to any collection, complete with very important original jack in pouch, restored tools in roll, owner's manual in pouch, along with maintenance voucher booklets, manufacturer's warranty certificate and overseas distributors/dealers booklet - all original to the vehicle.
The original numbers-matching 4.2 Litre motor runs well and pulls very strong, shifting from the transmission precise. All lights and signals are in proper working order, including the wipers and instruments. Recent services include refreshed exhaust, braking and cooling systems, rubbers, mounts, hoses and gaskets, along with a new battery.
The revered 1967 XKEs are the last to wear closed headlamps and possess the triple-carbureted un-smoged larger motor - its combination of great looks and lively power produced one of the greatest examples Jaguar ever manufactured. To find a Series 1 Coupe is such condition with original accessories and attractive colors further add to the appeal - a great find for the jaguar enthusiast and offered at tremendous value in today's marketplace.
