Ebay item 8/31/11
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1966-JAGUAR-E-TYPE-FHC-STUNNING-NATL-CONCOURS-CHAMPION-/ ...
Opening bid $59,999 reserve not met, no bids yet 2 days left in auction. Buy it now price $142,500. 67k miles.

Sellers description:
FULLY RESTORED, MODIFIED AND UPGRADED NATIONAL JNCA CONCOURS WINNING 1966 JAGUAR E-TYPE FIXED HEAD COUPE! TRULY STUNNING AND TRULY ONE-OF-A-KIND! PERFECTION IN HIGH PERFORMANCE, DRIVEABILITY, SAFETY, FIT AND FINISH! LOOK AT THE DETAILS AND YOU WILL AGREE - THERE IS NO OTHER SERIES ONE E-TYPE LIKE IT ....ANYWHERE! ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! A CLASSIC JAGUAR E-TYPE THAT HAS BEEN BUILT LIKE A NEW CAR... NEW CAR FEATURES, SAFETY, PERFORMANCE AND COMFORT IN A CLASSIC JAGUAR.

This spectacular coupe, finished in Jaguar "Indigo" deep blue metallic paint and biscuit interior was the 2009 JCNA Southeast Regional Concours First Place Award Winner, the 2010 JCNA National Concours Third Place Winner (9.995 points). This car was featured in the XKEData Annual Calendar in May 2010, and was selected as Chubb Collector Car of the Month.

Offered for sale for the first time is this fine 1966 E-Type Roadster. This car is a new restoration with 1,463 miles since the 10 month restoration was complete. Numerous award winner, JCNA Concours winner, and Best of Class and Best of Show Awards. This perfect E-Type has won or placed in every show entered, regardless of Jaguar Sanctioned Concours, British Car Shows, or open shows.

I had this car restored as my personal car. No stone was left unturned. Everything you could do to improve the classic E-Type, while fully respecting the most beautiful car ever designed, was done. I am a true E-Type lover. I believe that the Series One Jaguar is, without question, the pinnacle of automotive design. Soft, sumptuous and stunning lines create this icon of art and design. The modifications, save the custom mesh grille, leave the classic design untouched. My desire was to make a classic E-Type safer, more comfortable, and better performing, and, in fact, more special than any other on the road. (For the true purist, and custom mesh grille can be easily replaced with the traditional motif bar!)

This car has been sorted mechanically since the restoration was completed, from the dyno and tuning the triple Webers, to the ride height with the adjustable GAZ Shocks, to the L.E.D. taillights - this beauty is 100 percent!

The restoration was performed personally by Paul Ireson of Ireson Motorsports, located in Fort Myers, Florida. His cars are well known in the Restoration, Custom and Tuner world: Winner of the George Barris award at the Detroit Auto Show as well as National and Regional Championships at Hot Import Nights and Nopi Nationals. He has restored numerous English cars, XK's and E-Types that have a strong record of Jaguar Concours winners with regional and national JCNA Award Winners.

I chose this car for restoration due to it's premium status in the car range. Those that know the Series I's know that 1965, 1966, and 1967 are the most desirable and collectible of all E-Types produced. I chose the Jaguar color "Indigo" to show off the stunning lines of this classic, and with a biscuit interior, a beautiful palette and most pleasing aesthetic was created.

This matching numbers E-Type (save the new 5-speed transmission) came from Pennsylvania, and was originally purchased by a fellow architect in State College. I have spoken with him, who purchased the car from the local dealer and picked it up personally at the port of New York. The car then spent over 20 years in Florida, where I was able to acquire it.

The restoration included a full teardown and rebuild. The body, all suspension components, the rear end, the engine and all electrical and interior components were restored to the highest level. All non-serviceable or questionable parts were replaced. The result is a virtually new 1966 E-Type, as you can see in the photos. The restoration included:

As you can see, this is a very special car. It is as near perfect a Series I E-Type as you will find on the planet. Although this is a concours show winner in every respect, it is fantastic driver, and I have enjoyed driving it weekly since restoration. I have driven to shows up to 150 miles away, and it is a regular around town on the weekends. It is such a pleasure to drive - fast, smooth, quiet and comfortable, with terrific handling. This car is NOT a trailer queen!

This is truly a unique one of a kind E-Type for that serious collector who will lovingly care for this classic. Based on the recent E-Type sales at Amelia Island, this car is bargain priced.

The car is available for inspection at my location in Fort Myers, Florida.

Opening bid US $125,000, no reserve, no bids 6 days left in auction buy it now price $215,500 seller 239mikes, 400 miles stated.

Seller's description:

If you have been looking for the right one of the world’s best Series One Jaguar E-Type Fixed Head Coupes, you have found it here! Fully Restored in stunning Indigo Blue Metallic with many safety, comfort and performance upgrades!  This Jaguar Concours winner is the best of the best!

This superb E-type, is offered for the first time in 8 years. I have owned Jaguars continuously since 1989, and this is the second E-type (and the best one) upon which I had a full nuts and bolts restoration performed. This numbers matching car was built in 2009-2010 by Paul Ireson, of Ireson Motorsports, of Sevierville, Tennessee. The full photographic record of the restoration is included with the car.. I sold the car in 2012 to its current owner, who has now asked me to resell the car. Due to some personal issues, the current owner drove the car only approximately 400 miles since purchasing from me. The car was shipped last year back to Paul Ireson to take care of any corrective work required. After completion, the car was then shipped to me a just a few weeks ago to Fort Myers, Florida.

I had the car restored following several guiding principles:

Respect to the marque and the “most beautiful car ever made” (acccoring to Enzo Ferrari). The Series One Jaguar E-Type is the only automobile on permanent display at the Museum of Modern Art In NYC.

Provide performance upgrades without blemishing the original design.

Provide safety and comfort upgrades without distracting from the beauty of the original.

Custom Embroidered "Jaguar E-type" in the boot floor

The car runs excellent and strong with tremendous torque! The Weber Carbs want to run this car out and are not shy about drinking fuel! A great handling classic motorcar!

The car is being sold with a Jaguar Dailmer Trust Heritage Certificate, clean Florida Title, and comes with the Owner's Manual, service records, restoration record, Concours trophies, two sets of keys, and jack.

The car is being sold in AS-IS Condition. The prospective buyer may inspect the car at my location of Fort Myers, Florida, by appointment only. The prospective buyer is also welcome to call Paul Ireson of Ireson Motorsports, in Sevierville, Tennessee for any mechanical/technical questions.

Beautiful 66 Etype FHC. Built 1 before mine 1E32642 in 1966. I've been looking

for mine for 20 years globally without success and also know where the one built

and hope this one does well.
