Car Condition: Under Restoration
This 1966 Jaguar XKE Series I 4.2 FHC is currently under restoration to a Show/Driver level by Classic Showcase. Included in the restoration process the vehicle was be stripped to bare metal, placed on a rotisserie, metal finished, leaded, all body parts fitted to the car and chrome, prepared for primer, sealer, paint, base, clear, color sanded and buffed to a fabulous finish. It will receive a new windshield and door glass. All mechanical systems and components will be gone through, serviced, restored or replaced as needed. The engine and transmission will be rebuilt back to factory specifications as well as the rear end and suspension. All other systems such as the electrical system, hydraulic system, cooling system and fuel system will be restored or replaced and the car will receive all new rubber and a complete new wire loom. The car will receive a new correct exhaust system, new battery, the gas tank will be epoxy sealed and radiator restored. All chrome will be re-plated. The car will receive a complete new custom tailored and fit interior in the correct materials by our upholstery department. A DVD of the restoration process will accompany the vehicle. It features a factory replacement head, but all other numbers are matching. Upon completion of the restoration this Jaguar will be an excellent example to drive, enjoy and compete in your favorite Concours.
