1965JAGUAR TYPE E COUPE SERIE 1 4,2L
Serial number IE31895
Delivered new in France
Same owner since 1993
Original notebooks - matching numbers
French registration card
This Jaguar E-Type Series 1 Coupé 4.2L was delivered new to Mr. Germenot by the importer Jaguar Royal-Elysées in Paris on November 29, 1965. It was then registered in the Val d´Oise. The car’s original maintenance booklet allows us to see regular maintenance at Royal-Elysées and then at Jaguar Nice. We also have an invoice dated August 11, 1966 testifying to the revision of the 10,000 kilometers for an amount of 174.18 Francs. We take the history of this Jaguar back in 1979, when it belongs to Garage Louis Blanc Automobiles, domiciled at 10 rue Louis Blanc, Paris Xème arrondissement. It was then acquired from 1979 by Mr. and Mrs. Guérin who had it maintained at Garage Trichet in Levallois-Perret. Its current owner acquired it in 1993. Since then, the Jaguar has always been serviced, we keep the invoices. It has been followed in particular by specialists such as Cecil Cars, Ares and Classic Affairs. The latest work on the car includes the installation of Coopercraft aluminum brake calipers and Kevlar brake pads.
Today this Jaguar E-Type is in very good presentation condition. Its Gun Metal Gray paint, although a few years old, shows no particular flaw. The alignments and the chrome are good. The red leather-wrapped interior was kept in very good original condition and has a superb patina. The serial numbers are the same, the engine and its cylinder head bear the number 7E5835-8 corresponding to the manufacturer's plate. The original tool kit, jack and hammer are present, as is the three-spoke steering wheel replaced by a Moto Lita. At the wheel, we were able to observe that the mechanical assembly was working well and the car's handling was good. An important file will be given to the buyer, including the original books, numerous invoices dating from the 1960s, as well as numerous technical checks.
This Jaguar E-Type is probably one of the most desirable available on the market. Its history is clear, since its delivery to France in 1965 and its color combination suits it perfectly!
