This 1966 Series 1 has undergone a complete restoration to return it to original factory condition. Every effort has been made to ensure accuracy and authenticity for its year. As such, the car operates perfectly and is a joy to drive. Originally a French Export vehicle, the speedometer tracks distance in kilometers not miles and the gauge reads in Km/h. This vehicle has been restored to the exacting condition it would have been when it left Coventry. For example, the vehicle would have received yellow headlight bulbs and Pirelli tires once it was processed in France but since the restoration was being done to factory standard, these elements were kept as they would have left England. Little is known of the car's history after its first owner but the vehicle was purchased in 1980 where it remained with the same owner until the restoration.
