You are right about the colours, actually the exterior colour isn't original either, as it's aston martin Royale blue.
My car indeed had a rubber gaiter originally, but I preferred the earlier leather design, and since my car was only a hundred or so numbers into the new design, I decided to change it. But since Jaguar changed the wheel arch covers from moquette to vinyl and deleted the side pockets at the same time they changed the shift gaiter, I retrofitted these features aswell, so there would be no mismatch in the interior itself.
What, on the other hand isn't an original feature at all, is the conversion to a full leather interior (apart from the dashboard).
