Ebay item 6/14/18
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-SERIES-1-COUPE/372334738820
Car has a buy it now price of $72,500 for 20 days, seller kurttannermotorcars, Santa Ana, California, 52k miles.
Sellers description:
Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this largely unrestored Jaguar E-type Coupe. This car was purchased from an Iowa family where the car had been stored indoors for many years. This running and driving example appears to have been originally delivered in the highly desirable and rare factory color scheme of Black with Red trim ! The exterior wears an older repaint in red, and amazingly today still retains most all of it's original red interior.
The bodywork on this car is extremely good and quite straight, as having never seen an accident. Panel gapping looks excellent, and really only needs some fine tuning in relation to it's bonnet and door catches, for a near perfect fit. Paintwork is older driver quality, and is showing some chips, scratches, and a small dent in the driver's door. Nevertheless, it presents well for a very attractive around-town driver (eventually awaiting a respray back to it's factory Black ?).
Chromework presents nicely, being mostly good original and possibly replated rear bumpers.
The car's interior is largely very original and appears to have been dyed at some point. The seat leather is even the original. The headliner looks very decent, along with an original dashboard top pad and beautiful facia with nice functioning instruments and gauges. The front footwell carpets have been replaced, along with the steering wheel and shift knob, but apart from that it's all original.
The car is fitted with 4.2 liter engine # 7R1424-9, which is believed to be from a 1968 E-type. Mechanically, the car is excellent and runs and drives very well. The engine starts easily on the key with no smoke or noises, has excellent oil pressure, revs very well and is very quiet and smooth overall, idling nicely with a perfect exhaust note. The gearbox shifts extremely well into every gear, up or down, with very good clutch action, and the rear axle is fine. The braking system and clutch hydraulics have been recently rebuilt (with receipts) as necessary, along with a fresh fuel tank cleanout and a new pump. The car drives nicely down the road, and would benefit from a fresh set of tires at this point. The engine bay still retains it's original black color, making for an easy future detail.
The car's undercarriage is extremely solid showing hardly any rust issues, and appears to still be fitted with it's original floors. The outer rockers still look excellent. The bonnet is in great original condition.
Overall, a very original, well-preserved and desirable Series 1 E-type coupe. This car can be used and enjoyed as is for the time being, in it's attractive and approachable, usable condition.

Ebay item 1/24/24
Car has a buy it now price of $85,000 for 29 days, seller foreverjaguar, 54k miles, car now in Bushnell, Florida
Seller's description:
Interior; Refreshed Interior with many clever and tasteful features including additional custom dotted aluminum trim, hidden digital temp guage, retro air AC, interior lighting, stereo Bluetooth with backup camera-all cleverly hidden (comfortably make a phone call via the built in speakers in 4th gear!) Early style bucket seats in beautiful contrasting biscuit, additional trim from Aldridge Trimming in the UK. The MOST insulated and QUIET E type ANYWHERE on the interior. I went a little overboard with sound insulation however it really paid off and makes it a comfortable cabin to be in.
Engine; I had rejuvenated many bits a few years ago and added triple Webers which start first crank and idle perfect. Sound even better.
I made custom aluminum engine bay trim, replaced the plastic brake & clutch fluid bottles with aluminum which are mounted to the firewall away from the heat.
Engine bay mounted fuel pressure guage aids in tuning.
Full engine lighting with flip of a switch-Will light up entire engine bay. Very handy for any inspecting.
Most of the metal bits in engine bay are powder coated same gold color as the heads. Engine block painted. Coolant filter installed as extra precaution for the rodded radiator couple years ago.
Bluetooth 123 distributor which can interface with your phone app to adjust curves etc.
Modern spin on oil filter, series 2 style cooling set up with ultra high efficiency Spal fans I modified into a s2 shroud. (I wired separate relays for each fan and have very cleverly hidden lights in the panel which turn on when fans are activated. I wanted this to be the coolest running E Type in existence so that I can comfortably drive in Florida traffic
Exterior: I bought it from a dealer in CA about 5 years ago, the car spent the majority of its life in CA and there is NO rust. It has older Carmen red paint, which is not perfect but very presentable. Has few blemishes but you will still be the prettiest car on the road. If you want perfection then you are looking north of $120k. The original color was midnight blue.
I installed new bell stainless steel exhaust, new ceracote exhaust manifolds with extra heat shielding, I POR 15 entire bottom of car, new gearbox mount bushings, and many other bits I’m sure I haven’t thought of.
New tires within past 2 years
This E type is no garage queen. I drive it long distances of 2 hours at a time.
All lights work great, runs excellent very quick, drives excellent, stops excellent.
I paid $70k several years ago from a reputable southern CA dealer, I put an additional $20k plus into this not including all of my time and labor. No games not looking to get rich it’s a net loss. You will not find a nicer driving example.
