I bought this car from an E Type enthusiast who has in 9 years stripped everthing down and made it all the way how it originally was.

After he finished he got bored, sold the fabulous car heart aching to me and now is restoring another E Type.

I am now looking for the history.
Hope to find some help here and there.

Very nice car, Maikel. Yours is one of the first 300 4.2-litre cars, so it should have many of the interior details shared with the last of the 3.8-litre cars, such as the small cubby boxes behind the seats and the leather shift gather. It should also have the removable panel over the rear suspension and your horns are probably still in the bonnet. I owned 1E30036 for many years, and your car brings back memories!

The 4.2 was the improved version of the 3.8. Production started in August 64 with fully synchronizes 4 speed gear box, more comfortable seats, larger 4.2 engine and some other features to make it a great touring car.

This is no 264 of only 4582 car build. Almost impossible to find a '64 4.2 S1 E Type

Engine, body and frame matching no.

Stainless steel exhaust and Hye-dra SS rear brakes.

1-2-3 ignition, increased ventilation, recent IRS overhaul

Starts, runs and brakes great, perfect oil pressure and compression, no leakage, dry engine.

Lovely car. They made 1108 cars from Aug-Dec 1964, 453 were FHC LHD. Do you have the original speedometer? It should be a 5000 redline.
