Car listed on EBay:

Jaguar : XKE
1968 CONVERTIBLE SERIES 1 1/2 w/ HARDTOP

Miles: 41341 Doors: 2 doors
Transmission: Manual Interior: Black
Engine: 6 - Cyl. Year: 1968
Exterior: Brown

Vehicle Description: Up for auction is a 1968 Jaguar XKE convertible Series 1 1/2. Car No. 1E18053; Body No. 4E10167; Engine No. 7E17864-9; Gear Box No. KE 177. This is the popular Series 1 1/2 E-Type with hardtop. It is presently Sable (brown) with black interior. I believe the original color was Old English White.

Need to sell- I have not gone on a vacation in ten years and would like to take one this summer.

Vehicle Condition: This car needs a full restoration. It has the original engine and good compression on all cylinders. It will run and drive but the brakes are weak. It needs a complete interior, complete paint and metal work on floor sills and trunk floor. The mileage shows 41,341 but it is not actual.

With 40 bids this car did not make the auction reserve but it did reach US $13,900.01 (Reserve not met)

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
