I owned this roadster from about 1974 until 2000. I sold it to a gentleman from England that was going to retore the car and resell it.

Sold by Alan Carrington Classic Cars of Hollingbourne in November 2019. Abbreviated seller's description below.
www.alancarrington.com/cars-for-sale/1967-jaguar-e-type-s1-42-roadster
Gun barrel straight Jaguar, Dark Blue with Grey leather interior, Dark Blue mohair hood and hood bag. This three owner roadster has been with the previous owner for 24 years. All numbers matching, it has been fully restored to show standard with the engine fully rebuilt by VSE including electronic ignition and set up for fast road use. The engine is nicely run in and shows excellent oil pressure. Fully overhauled original synchro gearbox, stainless steel exhaust system, alloy header tank with high flow radiator, Kenlowe fan, Coopercraft brakes, competition wire wheels with spinners, adjustable shocks all round. Chrome work fully restored . Full ground up restoration in 2000 and new bonnet and suspension rebuild in 2016. Done 8000 miles since restoration and 800 miles since overhaul.
Originally a LHD US export car. Registered 917XIG (the original California blue plate comes with the car). The car was purchased from the second owner in Santa Barbara where it lived from 1971 to 1995. The third owner repatriated it back to the UK where it was restored. There is a large history file with many invoices and the original owners handbook. It has the correct period Motorola push button radio converted to FM and uprated FLY speakers. The car has its original tools and jack in its original bag. This stunning roadster drives and handles perfectly.
