Current bid $10,100 reserve not met, 4 bids, 5 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
1968 XKE matching number roadster. Silver Blue exterior, dark blue interior and soft top. Also includes factory original hardtop (silver blue). Converted to electronic ignition (have all original parts), recent clutch and general under hood cleanup. Most engine gaskets replaced, clutch master cylinder and hydraulic lines replaced. Recent battery. Everything works except the battery operated clock (which has no battery). Slight paint bubbling in bottom of 1 door, and rust in passenger floor. Doors close easily and align properly. Repainted at some point before I got it (car has always been silver/blue.) Engine is very strong, not rebuilt to my knowledge. Doesn't burn oil, but definately uses a quart in 600-750 miles. drip the size of a quarter after a long run (from the drain plug). O/p runs at 42lbs. Gearbox is smooth, checked by Straight Six in California last year. Synchro for 2nd was replaced, as well as the front and rear bearings, and John proclaimed the excellent condition the box was in. Some rust bubbles appearing on the lower door. Rust on passenger floor (could be POR-15'ed). Underneath is totally sound. Steering is tight, but the knucle closest to the steering wheel could be replaced (occasional clunk). Nothing needs doing....just spent about 7K on clutch, trans, gaskets, clutch slave and under hood cleanup. When last registered, passed the NY test easily (registered 2 years ago).
