Offered here is a highly refined E-Type from the last year of the first production series unofficially designated as a series 1 ½, a 1968 convertible that is not only one of the rarest editions of the E-Type, but has traveled a mere 16,000 miles since new. Series 1 ½ cars were transitional cars built in 1968 that carried a mixture of features from both the Series 1 and 2 cars. Although they were similar in appearance to the Series 1, the 1 ½ had open headlights, different interior switches, and two Zenith carburetors. Twin cooling fans were also introduced in the 1 ½ cars and the wheel knock-off spinner was modified as well. This example is finished in the lovely color of Azzure Blue with a black top. Everything about the 1968 Jaguar convertible is smooth and sexy from its elegantly styled front end to its graceful wheel arches that display its wire wheels in perfect fashion. Power for this E-Type comes from Jaguar's famous 4.2 liter dual overhead cam inline six that propels this Jaguar to a top speed of 150 mph. With its low mileage and careful attention to detail this is perhaps one of the best examples of one of the rarest E-Types in existence.
