Current bid US $23,100, no reserve, 24 bids 6 days left in auction, seller asouthern1, 30k miles.

    Sellers description:

You are bidding on a solid southern 1968 Jaguar E-Type Series 1.5 Roadster. It is currently ivory with a tan interior and tan soft top. The car was originally a Black car with Black interior, and Black Soft Top. The car has the 4.2L 6-cylinder engine with automatic transmission. It starts, runs and drives great. I have the Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate for the car showing the following:

Make and Model Jaguar E-type Series 1 4.2 litre

Body Style Open two-seater, left-hand drive

Date of manufacture 22 January 1968

    Chassis number 1E 16813

    Engine number 7E 15734-9

    Body number 4E 8869

    Gearbox number EE 2339

    Exterior paint colour Black

    Interior trim colour Black

    Hood (soft top) colour Black

Original distributor Jaguar Cars, New York, USA

    Original Dealer Not Recorded

Date of Dispatch 5 February 1968

    First owner Noreda Conley

The car was bought new by Mrs. Noreda Conley's Husband of London Kentucky as gift to her. His wife could not drive a manual transmission so the dealer swapped out the motor and transmission for an automatic. The car was later sold to a Business man in London Kentucky who was also a car enthusiast. He later sold the car to a Pilot who restored the car to its current condition several years ago. It was an amateur restoration, and the car could use a repaint. The car appears to be a very solid car. It is missing the heater box. The car runs and drives great and with a little work would make a beautiful car.

Its Very Rare to find an original Triple Black Series 1.5 Jaguar Convertible.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
