Ebay item 7/22/05
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $7,000.00 (Reserve not met), 1 bid, 9 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
Just found this Jag in Wisconsin where it has sat untouched for almost 25 years. The car fired up on the third crank and has great oil pressure 4o lbs at 2000 rpm. The car is going to need a total restoration as it has some major rust in the floors, hood and rockers there is also some cuts on the sheet metal around the bellhousing.. The car also has damage to the right subframe this will need to be replaced. The car was originally Willow green but was resprayed in the late 70's to its present red paintwork.

The car is missing the wooden trunk boards, front bumpers and the radio console.

This is a matching numbers car which starts and will move under its own power but it has no brakes.

Car returns to ebay 1/2/06

Current bid $5,100.00 (Reserve not met) 9 bids, 6 days left in auction. Car is now loctated in Largo, Florida

Sellers description:
A great barn find I made this summer. This car has been sitting in a garage in Wisconsin since the early 80's. I got the car back here to Florida changed the oil, rigged up a gas can and a fuel pump cranked for oil pressure and it started right up. The car runs good and has great oil pressure. We then freed the clutch and drove it to the end of the driveway and back (NO BRAKES).

This car does need a total restoration but is pretty complete and would be a great car to restore. The floors and rockers do have rust i can send detailed pictures showing the rust. The previous owner said the milage is genuine.

I plan to restore totally to shine like a newborn baby.
I'll add pics from the development of the restoration.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
