Current bid US $5,600 reserve not met 16 bids 9 days left in auction. Seller dusty356a, 18k miles.
Sellers description:
1968 Jaguar E-type Series 1 4.2 litre Roadster with original black California license plates, numbers-matching engine and original-factory metal throughout. Excellent factory color combination: Opalescent Silver Blue with Dark Blue interior. Stored inside for several decades and not driven, original 4.2 engine does not run, needs rebuild. Original undercarriage has been dry-ice blasted to expose all the factory metal and spot welds, please note the floors have never been replaced and the original chassis is quite solid. This E-type is very complete, a great candidate for full restoration.

With heritage certificate for sale as is, or for full restoration through our world renowned classic jaguar workshop Watjag near Bakewell in Derbyshire.
Restoration projects don’t come much better than this. This car is not running and will require the engine to be rebuilt. This can be done in house by our own workshops by our main mechanic who has 40 years experience building jaguar engines! we don’t farm any work out, we can offer full restoration services from bead blasting shells through rebuilding axles, transmissions, engine, trimming and metal and paint to the very highest standard offered worldwide.
This car has a fantastic original colour combination of opalescent Silver Blue paint, dark Blue interior and a navy blue soft top. it will look stunning when done and will be an excellent investment.
No metal work has ever been done on this car and all the original welds and factory assembly can be clearly seen. these cars do not come around very often these days and this car is a rare find in good condition for a full concours restoration. The main structure is very good and pretty much rust free. We will have a full portfolio of pictures available soon. The main metal work will comprise of front floor pans, possibly outer sills and the front and rear under trays. These are not for the faint hearted amateur or inexperienced workshop to do. If you wish to buy this car as a project we are happy to do the difficult bits and leave you to enjoy doing much of the project yourself. The engine can be rebuilt by us and we buy all of our parts direct from the engine manufacturers. Put simply, no other Jaguar specialist can beat us on price or quality in building one of these engines.
