way.It has less than 30,000 miles it is a matching number car that has never sustained any damage, the Black exterior is very very nice and all chrome and stainless is in the same wonderfull condition. All panels have excellent gaps and align nice. The black top fits very nice, the tires are excellent as well as the wire wheels having superb shine to the chrome.

The interior is in the same wonderfull condition as the rest of the car, the leather is very supple and unmarked, the dash is perfect, the gausges are all bright and operate correct, the original wood wheel is also in fine shape.

The car like I said has had a major service, the tank was removed, carbs rebuilt, radiator flushed and serviced, new plugs, belts and hoses as needed, brakes serviced, and all fluids changed, there has been 300 miles put on the car since this was done, the car runs outstanding and when you drive it you can tell it is a real low mileage vehicle.

Opening bid $50,000 reserve not met, no bids yet, 8 days left in auction. Buy it now price $89,000.

To Doc's note above the car does not have the correct bonnet or it has been modified. The car should have open headlights which happened at 1E14535 (Jan 1967) according to Jaguar spares bulletin P198. There were perhaps 50 documented exceptions but even those ended by 1E14656. A quick search on this site beginning with 1E14552 will show most cars have open headlights, when they don't suspect some altercation has occurred.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
