This car has just come out of a 20 year storage. I put a new fuel pump on, new clutch master and slave cylinders, cleaned the gas tank and the car runs beautifully. This is a late 67 xke convertible without the glass covered headlights. The headlights can be retrofitted to accept covers for $1200 per side. I know a mechanic that has done this twice. The original owner had a problem with the engine when it was new, tried to rebuild it himself without success and took it back to the dealer. It was now after 67 and the jags had 2 carbs instead of 3. The dealer had a 2 carb jag engine and the owner had this installed. If the 3 carb setup is desired, they can be bought for about $2,000. The 2 carb engine has plenty of power and is more economical to run. The car is VERY SOLID. I took a magnet around it and it stuck EVERYWHERE. The paint is presentable but has small cracks in it from age I suppose. The floors and trunk floor are all solid. There is a dent behind the right front bumper overrider where it has been pushed in slightly. It has a Nardi steering wheel. The rear bumpers have been rechromed. Ansa exhaust system. The car runs and drives great.
