These cars are considered to be the best drivers because they have the 4.2 liter 6 cylinder engine with 3 SU carburetors and a fully synchronized transmission. They are more collectable because they retain the beautiful XKE lines with covered headlights and have toggle switches. Offered for sale at to the Gooding & Company Auction held in Pebble Beach, California where it was estimated to sell for $125,000 - $155,000. Sold for $121,000. Opalescent-silver, low-mileage fewer than 31,000 miles, ground-up restoration.
