Current bid $3,450 reserve not met, 3 bids, 6 days left in auction. Buy it now price $24,500.

    Sellers description:
This is a true covered 1967 covered headlight car. It has the 4.2 engine with the tri-carb set up and synchromesh gear box. A lot people feel this is the most sought after of the E-types. It is a matching number car. The original color is primrose yellow with the black interior. This car is in need of restoration. It is a decent car to start a restoration with. The car has been sitting inside for 7 years hoping to get restored. The seats were started and never finished. The gas tank was removed to be cleaned, but got lost. The gas tank sending unit and bowl are still with the car though. The air cleaner must be in the same place as the gas tank, neither to be found. There are no tools or jack with the car. Other than that car seems to be complete. The bonnet on the car is in super nice condition, there are few small dents on it, but there is no rust at all. Even around the bonnet hinges is nice and dry. The rear part of the car where the gas tank and spare tire goes is in nice dry condition also. There are new Martin Robey floors in the car. The outer sills need replacing. The inner sills seem fine. The convertible top needs replacing as you can see in the photos. The car does not run as we speak.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
