This 1967 Jaguar XKE is a Series I roadster that was acquired out of California by the seller in October 2021 as a project car and subsequently refurbished with engine and transmission overhauls, a repaint, and an interior refresh. The car is finished in gray over tan leather and powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six mated with a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes a black soft top, four-wheel disc brakes, and 15″ center-lock wire wheels. This XKE is now offered with refurbishment photos, a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.

The car was refinished in its current shade of gray under current ownership and features chrome wraparound bumpers and windshield surrounds as well as a black soft top, headlight covers, a louvered clamshell hood, and dual center-exit exhaust outlets. The glass was reportedly replaced during the refurbishment.

Chrome 15″ wire wheels secured with branded two-eared knock-off nuts wear 205/70 Bridgestone Ecopia EP22 Plus tires. Service during the refurbishment reportedly included replacing the wheels and tires as well as overhauling the braking system.

The cabin features bucket seats that were retrimmed in tan leather with color-matching treatments for the carpets, center console, and door panels. Features include an adjustable steering column, an open glove box, a passenger-side grab handle, a padded center armrest, and roll-down windows.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, fuel level, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 47k miles, fewer than 50 of which were driven by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.

The 4.2-liter inline-six was rebored as part of the refurbishment and fitted with replacement pistons, according to the seller. Additional work is said to include regrounding the crankshaft, resizing the connecting rods, dynamically balancing the rotating assembly, and replacing the timing chains, timing chain tensioner, oil pump, valve guides, wiring harness, radiator, and fan.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential with 3.07:1 gearing, according to the seller. Additional work has reportedly included resurfacing the flywheel, refurbishing the differential, and replacing the synchro rings, bearings, seals, and clutch.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate indicates a manufacture date of March 7th, 1967, and distribution through Jaguar Cars of New York as well as factory serial numbers and colors.
