I am the current (1/27/2004) , owner of this car, purchased it from Roy E. Kinsey (who had car restored to "lightweight" status by Brian Donovan of Donvan Jaguar in Mass. Have owned car since September 28th of 2001. Fantastic "hot" street car, used on occasion with JCNA events at Lime Rock Park in Conn.

Purchased from I believe third owner in September 28 of 2001. (Roy E. Kinsey, also from Garrison NY), he had the car restored to "lightweight" specs over a course of 4 years by Brian Donovan of Donovan Jaguar in Mass. Original engine kept (in storage), Semi race engine in car now. Car rebuilt as sister car to Brian Donovan's personal XKE racecar. Spectacular car in all aspects. A thing of true beauty.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
