    Sellers description:
1967 JAGUAR XKE ROADSTER WITH 70699 ORIGINAL MILES!

THIS CAT IS QUITE SIMPLY A STUNNING, UNRESTORED 1967 XKE ROADSTER THAT SHOWS AND PERFORMS AMAZINGLY WELL. PURCHASED @ THE BARRETT-JACKSON SCOTTSDALE AUCTION IN 2002 THIS CAR HAS BEEN DRIVEN AND ENJOYED A MERE 4000 MILES IN THE PAST 10 YEARS. ADVERTISED IN 2002 AT THE AUCTION AS A NUMBERS MATCHING 66,000 ORIGINAL MILE CAR THE RECENTLY OBTAINED JAGUAR HERITAGE CERTIFICATE CONFIRMS THAT INFORMATION TO BE CORRECT. THE CAR STARTS AND DRIVES PRECISELY AS IT SHOULD, THE STEERING IS TIGHT AND DEFINITE THE RIDE IS COMFORTABLE BUT FIRM, THE SHIFT IS SMOOTH AND PRECISE. THE EXHAUST NOTE IS PLEASING AND THE CAR TURNS HEADS EVERYWHERE ITS DRIVEN.

WE HAVE EXTENSIVE SERVICE RECORDS ON THE CAR, THE ENGINE WAS COMPLETELY GONE THROUGH IN APRIL OF 2001 @ 66,000 MILES. ADDITIONAL SERVICE HISTORY SHOWS A CLUTCH REPLACMENT, SUSPENSION WORK, CARBURETOR REPAIRS AND A MYRIAD OF OTHER MAINTENANCE AND MECHANICAL REPAIRS. ALL TOLL SOME $21,000.00 PLU HAS BEEN SPENT MAINTAINING AND UPGRADING THE CAR OVER THE PAST 10 YEARS. THE BRILLIANT CHROME WIRES WHEELS WERE ALSO NEW IN 2001. THIS CAR IS AN ABSOLUTE JOY TO DRIVE.

I HAVE OWNED AND DRIVEN MANY OF THESE "E" JAGS AND THIS IS CLEARLY THE NICES OF THE BUNCH. A VERY RARE TRIPLE BLACK ROADSTER FROM BIRTH AS DOCUMENTED BY THE JAGUAR HERITAGE CERTIFICATE. THE CAR SHOWS SOME NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR COSMETICALLY AND THE BODY REVEALS SOME FLAWS AND ABRASIONS. I HAVE PHOTOGRAPHED THE CAR EXTENSIVELY SOME OF THE PICTURES ARE FROM THE STORAGE BUILDING WHERE THE CAR IS KEPT (INDOORS 100% OF THE TIME WHEN NOT BEING DRIVEN) A SECOND SET OF PHOTO ARE FROM A RECENT PHOTO SHOOT BY A PROFESSIONAL AT HIS STUDIO (ABSOLUTLEY NO PHOTO SHOP ALTERATIONS WERE PERFORMED).

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
