1967 Jaguar XKE Convertible finished in Classic British Racing Green with Black leather and Tan soft top. This matching numbers incredible example is without a doubt one of the best driving XKE's we have seen in a long time. It has a silky smooth shifting 4 speed transmission, quick starting, high and even compression smooth idling engine and everything works as it should. It is fitted with a period correct great sounding Borla exhaust. The interior has recently been restored using all correct materials. The body has good panel fit and the quality of the paint is excellent. It is rust free and is in need of no repairs at all. The wire wheels are perfect and the tires are new. Before you go and buy another E Type, you owe it to yourself to have a good close look at this car. You won't be disappointed and it is priced fairly and accordingly. The VIN is 1E 13628.

Body Number removed was incorrectly stated to be the same as car number. There is a photo of the ID plate, but Body Number is not fully recognisable.

The Classic Car Gallery is proud to offer this gorgeous collector grade, matching numbers 1967 Jaguar E-type roadster. This car has been the recipient of a full restoration, and is in absolutely stunning condition. The BRITISH RACING GREEN paint is excellent, and all of the panels are laser straight. The BLACK interior is excellent, the leather is supple and soft, and the carpets are like new. The Tan soft top shows as new, as does the top bows and mechanism. This is a correct numbers matching car, the engine and transmission are original to the car. We have very little paperwork on the car, but the quality of the restoration is self-evident. The suspension was clearly rebuilt, as was the motor, transmission and rear end. This is one of the finest running and driving XKEs we have seen. The motor has high and even compression, is quick starting both hot and cold, runs cool and leaks less then she should. The 4-speed transmission is silky smooth shifting, and the clutch engages properly. The wire wheels are perfect, and the tires are new. She has an updated radiator and a well hidden electric cooling fan. The chassis is rust free, and the car is in need of NO repairs. This collector grade XKE is one of the finest examples we have seen.

    ESTIMATE £85,000-£95,000
Auction Fontwell House Goodwood Sep 2017
    Lot Number 157
    Reg. Number UK Registered
    Chassis Number IE13628
    Year 1967
    Make Jaguar
    Model E-Type Series I Roadster

This beautiful late Series 1 4.2 Roadster was exported new to the United States, where it subsequently enjoyed a comprehensive restoration before becoming part of a large car collection in Dubai. The current owner bought the E-Type more recently and repatriated it into the UK where it joined an extensive and varied car collection. In his ownership the E-Type has been maintained by John Burton, Chairman of the E-Type Register for the Jaguar Driver's Club.

The Jaguar is said to drive just as well as it looks, and it must be said it is a lovely looking car, resplendent in British Racing Green with a black leather interior and tan coloured roof. The E-Type is offered with a current UK MOT certificate, original brochure and period Autocar road test from October 1967. With the popularity of the E-Type model ever increasing, we feel this is a sound buy and fairly priced in the current market.
