Sellers description:
Here is a rare opportunity to own a gorgeous numbers matching series one 1967 e-type roadster (the most desireable year?) in beautiful condition for a reasonable price. As you know these later series one cars in restored condition are getting harder to find and more expensive by the minute. Here are the particulars: The body of 1e13589 is in beautiful, RUST FREE condition. I was never able to find any rust on my car, even underneath. Paint on this Jaguar is outstanding. Nearly flawless if not entirely flawless, the car was repainted in glasurit, correct Carmen red in 2001, and has held up magnificently with no chips or cracks. All trim, chrome, rubber and glass are outstanding in condition and were removed for the paint job, then reinstalled. The car looks just as good in person as in the photos. The interior is very good with new leather and excellent carpets and harduras, original steering wheel and gauges. Everything works except the windshield washer spray. Mechanically, the car is very good to excellent. The car has its original engine (7E9817-9) and gear box (EJ10000). The engine revs smoothly, blows no smoke and burns no oil. The trans shifts strong with no crunches, and the clutch grabs great. The brakes are new. The car also sports new tires and exhaust. Subframe number matches data plate, and engine numbers match data plate. The car also comes with s rare tonneau cover! The top is new, and the top bows are in as new condition. Overall this is a very good to excellent example, a gorgeous E-type close to show quality.
