Ebay item 4/11/17
www.ebay.com/itm/1966-Jaguar-E-Type-/162467370956
Car has a buy it now price of $99,500 for 6 days, seller dlcautoservices, 1k mile reported.

Sellers description:
We are selling this very nice Series 1 E Type Roadster (Vin: 1E13061) for a long time client of ours. It is an extremely nice driving example. This is a number's matching car with the exception of the head, which we believe was replaced by Jaguar early in its life. The signal red paint is beautiful (the car was originally cream) and the interior is very nice. The top is perfect and there is a boot cover as you can see. The chrome wire wheels and Michelin Red Line tires really set the car off. This is a tri-carb, covered headlight true Series 1 Jaguar. The chrome is in great shape too.

The car runs beautifully and has been serviced for over 20 years by Cloverleaf Auto Services & Lippincott's Garage (noted Jaguar restorers). We have all the service receipts. The owner is a reluctant seller as he no longer is able to drive the car. The original tool roll and jack come with the car as does a correct owner's manual. This is a great car at a great price.

Completed in the springtime 17th May 1966, this lovely Series 1 4.2 Liter Roadster was originally finished with a Cream exterior, Black top, and a Black leather interior. As noted on the Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, Mr. G. Thornton, the original owner, decided to forego the typical ordering process and instead organized to pick up the vehicle at the factory for a personal export delivery. Presumably, this was done so Mr. Thornton could enjoy bumbling around the scenic lanes of the car's homeland before shipping the Jaguar to its new home in the United States.

Unfortunately, the grander history of this beautiful Series 1 is not known. Based on the current condition of the vehicle however, one can infer that it has received a restoration at some point, including a color change and that this has now aged somewhat. The bright Signal Red paint shows in good condition and the body appears straight with good shut lines. In addition, the interior presents well with fresh looking black leather adorning the seats. Most importantly, the original engine has remained with the car from the beginning with only the head being replaced by Jaguar sometime early in the roadster's life. Lastly, the car will be accompanied by its tire changing kit, tools, and the aforementioned JHTC.

A good driver quality Jaguar E type, ready for the summer months ahead.
