This example of Jaguars legendary E type is a Series 1 4.2 roadster which makes it one of the most sought after E type models. The car has been recently restored, carried out by Andrew Tart, formally at Classic Motor Cars where he supervised the restoration of 9600HP, the first E- Type. See Porters book "The Most Famous Car in the World."

As you would expect from a recent restoration the car is described as being in excellent condition. The body was rebuilt at Martin Robey using the original bulkhead with the inner sills reinforced. All chrome has been re-chromed with bumpers as per 9600HP.

With black paint work and biscuit leather interior the car is stunning from every angle. The car was restored with a host of upgrades to make it more enjoyable and suitable for modern conditions. The engine has been pressure tested and fully ported and polished and features Carillo Rods and a Rob Beere 123 high performance electronic distributor. The exhaust is a full stainless steel system with racing exhaust headers. Cooling the engine is an up-rated radiator with thermostatic fan.

Reigning in this performance the car is fitted up-front with 12" AP vented racing discs and AP racing callipers.

The car currently has just less than 3000 miles since the rebuild and is supplied with full photographic records with an MoT valid until June 2008 V5 document and Heritage Certificate.
