Opening bid $99,000 reserve not met 0 bids, 6 days left in auction, seller sixwire57, car now said to be in Salem, Oregon.
Seller's description:
I am selling this extremely nice professionally restored 1965 primrose Jaguar Roadster for a friend of mine. This is one of several Jaguars from a collection, there are others that will possibly be up for sale as well.
Tragically the owner of these fine cars passed very unexpectedly and this is the first one of this collection to be offered up for sale. This is a beautiful car as you can see from the pictures with the 4.2 liter engine and 4 speed transmission. The primrose yellow with the tan interior and top is a very attractive combination. The underside of this car is in amazing condition. It is a rare find to come across a car of this caliber in this condition. I have provided several pictures that show in detail the actual current condition of this car. The interior of the car shows no wear and the dash and gages are in excellent condition. We would not only encourage you or your professional representative to come and thoroughly inspect and drive this great car, but we will insist that you inspect the car or have it inspected or we will not sell to you. The owner has the clear Oregon title for this car and is ready for transfer.

Light Yellow over Tan Leather Interior

Private Party or Dealer: Dealer
This 1966 Jaguar XKE Roadster is a numbers-matching US market example powered by its original 4.2L inline-six and synchronized 4-speed manual gearbox. This is one of 6,749 4.2-liter Series 1 roadsters produced and has a December 20, 1965 date of manufacture. The previous owner purchased the car in 2004 and commissioned a repaint in light yellow and a reupholstering of the interior with tan leather. The owner recently acquired the car from the estate of the previous owner, a Jaguar collector. The electrical system was recently serviced with a new alternator and regulator, the brakes were flushed, and the oil was changed in preparation for sale. This XKE is now offered by the selling dealer on behalf of the owner with a clean Oregon title.
The car was originally Dark Blue and the previous owner repainted the body and chassis in light yellow. Polished brightwork includes the bumpers, window trim, wing view mirrors, and headlight rings. A tan cover encloses the folding convertible top and a single reverse lamp is fitted beneath the rear license plate.
15″ chrome knock-off wire wheels are mounted with Michelin XVS tires. The seller flushed the Dunlop disc brakes, which are equipped at all four corners.
The seller has adjusted the stance by reindexing the front torsion bars. The rear quadruple coilovers in the rear are fitted with Boge struts.
The interior has been redone in tan leather with matching carpets in lieu of the original light blue upholstery. The seats and center console feature matching piping. Polished door handles and window winders are equipped on the door panels, and wear can be seen on the driver’s interior door handle.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel is fitted with an E-Type-badged horn button. An AM/FM radio is connected to speakers in the center console, and a manual choke can be found next to the glove compartment. The seller states that the Smiths 6k rpm tachometer and clock were recently rebuilt by Seattle Speedometer. 64,324 are shown on the odometer, 500 miles of which were reportedly added since the car was overhauled.
The original 4.2L inline-six features polished triple SU carburetors and was reportedly rebuilt by the previous owner. The seller states that recent service included a new oil pressure sending unit and an oil change. The negative earth electrical system reportedly received a new alternator, regulator, battery and cables.
The engine is stamped “7E 7312-9” which matches the chassis plate and Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate seen below.
The 4-speed manual gearbox has also said to be rebuilt and features fully synchronized gears. The twin stainless steel exhaust system can be seen above.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate shows that this XKE was built on December 20, 1965 and passed through the New York-based distributor. Engine and gearbox stampings are listed as “7E 7312-9” and “EJ 6033” respectively.

Car now offered at:
motorcartrader.com/vehicle/jaguar-e-type-series-1-for-sale/
Seller's description:
We are thrilled to offer another exceptional Jaguar E-type for sale. This 1966 Jaguar E-type Series 1 4.2 Roadster was built on December 20th of 1965 and was originally dispatched on January 19th of 1966. This wonderful Jaguar XKE was previously fully restored and finished in the stunning color combination of Primrose with Biscuit interior. The tan canvas convertible top and boot cover go nicely with the interior and beautiful Primrose Paint. The Jaguar presented here does have the original engine (matching cylinder head and engine block) as per the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Certificate and has close to $30,000.00 in driving upgrades. These include a new 5-speed gearbox with an aluminum fly wheel. The transmission shifts silky smooth and at 75 to 80 mph the RPMs are around 2,500. In addition, an aluminum radiator has been installed with an electric fan to keep the temperature cool in any climate. Furthermore, a Classic Auto Air Conditioning system has been installed which keeps the cabin clear and far superior to any factory Jaguar E-type AC system. A more efficient alternator along with the new Air Conditioning compressor was installed along with all new AC components and hoses. A smaller 15” diameter original style steering wheel was also installed to which gives more legroom and also has a better feel than the slim and brittle 16” steering wheel. We also installed a ne retro radio with blue tooth connectivity and a built-in microphone for hands free mobile phone communication. A full stainless steel exhaust was installed as well with new porcelain exhaust manifolds. The brake system has been upgraded with ceramic brake pads and the brakes have been completely gone through. All the wiring has been gone through and upgraded interior LEDS lighting has been installed which make for easier reading of the gauges at night. This also goes along with halogen headlamps which are also an upgrade.
This Jaguar E-type Series 1 Roadster is one of the best driving Jaguar E-types we have ever had, and we have owned a lot of them. The engine is very strong with excellent compression 165psi to 175psi across all 6 cylinders. The oil pressure is also excellent as we installed a “wet gauge” which by passes the temperamental oil sender and gives an exact and accurate reading of the oil pressure. The clutch feels excellent with no slippage and the gearbox is quick to shift between the gears. Overall the handling of this Jaguar is on point and there is no shake in the steering wheel, pulling upon hard braking or any loose feel what so ever. This car drives tight and accelerates rapidly with a smile eliciting torque. This is what a Jaguar E-type should be and no they do not all drive like this one does. The Jaguar E-type shown here would do well at car shows and we would call this a show driver car, but where this Jaguar shines is on the road. If you are looking for a reliable and fun Jaguar E-type Series 1 Roadster to drive just anywhere with a plethora of creature comforts and sensible upgrades, this is your car.
