Ebay item 5/6/04
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $25,100, no reserve, 15 bids, 6 days left in auction.
Sellers comment:
This collector car that you are bidding on is one of the finest models you will ever see whether you win the bid or not. It is a 1967 XKE conv., all matching numbers. The color is a rare original opalescent maroon with black interior and black top. Engine is an original 4.2 litre 6 cyl., 3 carb. with only 30,350 miles. The condition as you can see in the photos is superb. Any replacement parts over the years are N.O.S. with the exception of a racing package chrome tip exhaust pipe. Highest quality chrome wire wheels and new factory top with custom Tonneau cover from Jaguar. The engine compartment is like new but still 100% ORIGINAL/a total reflection of only 30,000 mi. in 38 yrs. Without sounding pompous I believe that this is the lowest legitimate mileage Series 1 Jaguar in the country. There are probably only five equal XKE Roadsters in the U.S. in such excellent condition and can surly be found at one of the higher end auctions such as Barrett/Jackson or Pebble Beach. The only flaws one can find are a couple of minor stone chips and one dimple from the monthly Sunday drives, otherwise the paint and finish is mirror/like. Always been garaged as any number 1 or number 2 car would be. This car can be driven but is SHOW QUALITY. I have been the proud owner for over 6 yrs. but am now accepting cash offers or very interesting and rare exotic trades.

Driving Impressions:
This has got to be one of the all time “Be Seen” Vehicles I have driven. The Transmission shifts smooth, strong clutch. The car has an amazing ride, Probably due to current tires. Plenty of power, No running hot, or weird running issues.
Notes:
This car was restored approximatley 6-8 years ago, It appears to be a correct job performed. The floor pans are new, The Body is not loaded with "Bondo" as some restorations are done. The full mechanicals were rebuilt, Brakes, Suspension, exhaust system, We (JMS Motors) replaced the hood side and dashboard harness due to astetic value to complete the finished "Restored" value under the hood. The old harness wasnt a good quality one used. Always Garaged (Heated of Course)
