This 1966 Jaguar XKE Roadster is a left-hand-drive Series I example that was built in September 1965 and originally distributed through Jaguar Cars of New York. The car is finished in dark blue over a beige interior and powered by a 4.2-liter DOHC inline-six mated to a 4-speed gearbox. A refurbishment was performed under previous ownership, including a repaint of the body, reupholstering the interior, and installing a new Haartz convertible top. The seller acquired the car in 2017, and has since added approximately 200 miles. This E-Type is now being offered by a friend of the owner with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate and a clear Florida title.
As a 1966 model, this car was equipped with covered headlights from the factory. Closeups of the navy blue finish and matching Haartz convertible top are provided in the gallery below. A small paint bubble is noted on the bonnet. Braking is managed by four-wheel Dunlop disc brakes, and a set of newer replacement chrome wire wheels come wrapped in new Redline tires. The interior has been reupholstered in the factory beige in recent years. An Alpine head unit and modern speakers have been added to the center console. Instrumentation is provided by a set of stock Smiths gauges. 49k miles are shown on the odometer, approximately 200 of which were added by the current owner over the past two years.
The 4.2-liter inline-six is equipped with a factory triple-SU induction system and backed by a 4-speed manual gearbox. Engine stamping #7E5057-9 is visible on the cylinder head matches the included Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate. Re-coated cast iron headers are tied into a pair of stainless mufflers. An oil and filter change was recently performed.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate lists a September 3, 1965 production date, as well as the original configuration of Opalescent Golden Sand over a beige interior with a French Grey top.

Seller's description:
This gorgeous 1966 Jaguar Series 1 4.2 OTS being offered here with a Jaguar Trust Heritage Certificate and finished in dark blue with tan hides has lived in Palm Springs its entire life. It has never seen bad weather, nor has it ever rusted anywhere, being one of the most solid examples available. It was part of a mid-western gentlemans private collection of fine automobiles and was always, and only kept at his vacation home in Palm Springs. We believe the 49,055 miles to be correct as well, but can only go by what has been said to us by people who know these Jags very well and observed its condition, so please take it for what it is. This one is the real deal and part of a local Florida gentleman's collection , The car originally came to us with red-line tires, that are period correct but looked old. We thought that it was a nice contrast to the blue color and preferred that over black sidewall tires. The red stripe adds style and classic elegance to this stunning color combination, therefore we replaced them with a brand-new set of 5 tires and also 5 brand new wire wheels, with the proper two eared chrome wheel spinners. Everything on the car works as expected and the car runs cool, even in sunny South Florida. All of the chrome is like new, as would be expected on a car of this caliber, with no pitting anywhere either inside or out. The dashboard is beautiful with no issues and it does seem to have the chrome fasteners placed properly on the front top section of the dash, so its ready for a tonneau cover to be acquired by its next fortunate owner, if he so desires.
